It's a celebration! To open our 85th season, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra offers a contemporary sensation in Gandolfi's Garden of Cosmic Speculation: The Willowtwist. This work reveals the composer's jazz and pop roots, and was inspired by his interest in modern physics. Known for his rich and sweet tone, emerging star violinist Yevgeny Kutik is perfectly paired with one of the most popular violin concertos, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1. Tchaikovsky's epic Symphony No. 5 concludes opening night for what will be a momentous season!
