Sutton Foster Ovation Awards

The finest talents from around Michigan will compete at Wharton Center for the titles of Michigan’s best high school musical actor and actress in this exciting evening of performance and competition. Witness the performances that brought these talents to the state level, and watch as they compete for scholarships and an all-expenses paid trip to New York!

The competitors will be judged live and you will see their final competition for an all-expenses trip to New York, where they will perform on Broadway and vie for the National High School Musical Theatre Award, $1,000 scholarship, and free tuition to Take It From The Top, our summer Broadway performance workshop. This promises to be an entertaining, delightful and suspensefully exciting event full of surprises – don’t miss it!

Run time is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes which includes a 20 minute intermission.

Parking will only be available from the Shaw Lane entrance (visitor's entrance) of the Wharton Ramp and will be cash only at $1.80/hr.

The Sutton Foster Ovation Awards is a partnership with Wharton Center for Performing Arts, Broadway in Detroit and Broadway Grand Rapids with additional support provided by Nancy Passanante.
