How Spartans Can Get Involved in the Arts

Fall might be our favorite time of year. The season is changing, our Broadway and performing arts season is just around the corner, and students are back on campus bringing in a wave of positive energy.
As Spartans, there are so many things to do on campus to stay connected to the arts. We wanted to share a few with you to help when you need a spark of creativity for the school year.
Student Tickets
Did you know that many of our shows have student tickets at a special discounted price? That’s $19 for most Performing Arts shows and $29 for most Broadway shows! Seeing the newest musical act or a Broadway show direct from New York has never been more accessible. You can find a list of performances that can be purchased at the special discounted rate at this link. Don’t forget your APID! https://www.whartoncenter.com/events-tickets/student-tickets
Wharton Center Student Marketing Organization (WCSMO)
Have you ever wondered about the business behind show business? WCSMO is an Michigan State University Registered Student Organization created to provide professional development opportunities to students interested in learning about marketing, advertising and public relations as they pertain to performing arts. The group meets weekly throughout the school year and provides support to Wharton Center marketing efforts, learning about arts education, performing arts and marketing through presentations and networking retreats to New York City.
It’s also a great way to meet staff and hear about internship opportunities, firsthand!
